Server Move Notice. Found bugs? Post them here!
« on: November 20, 2010, 07:29:52 PM »

Alright! Time to get to bussiness! *cracks knuckles* huh.. don't.. think that finger should have bent that far back.. Anyway, here's a checklist of known problems since our server move!

That's right, the move itself is complete. We're on the new server, and unlike many past moved for SVT, I was able to save the databases for Art, Fanfics, ect.., So no data is lost.. bugged maybe while I seek and destroy problems, but not lost!

That said, feel free to post any new problems you come across, so I can add it to the list.

Art - Coppermine
 - Missing images on some pages

Art - Oekaki
 - Data missing? Data Regresion? new stuff should work, but some old stuff is mis-matched *FIXED (I think *keeps eye on*)
 - New account bug. Users are e-mailed an activation key, activation key does not work *FIXED

Comics
 - Bad links on comics and some overlooked during the upload proccess *FIXED

Fanfics - eFiction
 - Most themes broken, and disabled (old problem from years of neglect, but I'd like to look into it anyway later)

Forums - SMF
 - Avatars broken and unable to be set *FIXED
 - Non-default themes partially broken *FIXED

We're aware of both issues and we're working on it.

Yep. After my earlier post, Tails did some clicking around, and noticed many things I didn't. So there are indeed issues and I'm solving them by working  fresh installs of each script, then directing them to the old database.

Many of the issues thusfar, are problems with the scripts themselves. Some of it's from the move, other issues are due to many of the scripts not getting updated in a very long time, or just being updated badly. Some of these issues were less noticable on Dreamhost, since DH is kind of like Internet Explorer over another Net Browser. Even if something is wrong or glitched, it's a little more forgiving and things appear to work, when they really aren't. So the switch is letting us see those once hidden issues, allowing us to actually do something about it.

That said, feel free to post any new issues you come across. That way I don't miss anything. Also, sorry for the glitches, but all things concidered with a server hop , I think things are going well

Almost got my account auto banned for using a proxy while surfing the net. It's disabled now.

I was wondering what was going on. I noticed the ban error and thought I accidentally banned you. XD It was the protection system of the forum. Sorry about that, just make sure you don't use a proxy.

I have a program that allows for advanced settings, certain pages using certain proxies, and some not using one at all.  *brushes dust off*  Shouldn't be a problem, now ever forward FOR SCIENCE!

In case you're not aware, I'm quite insane.  Though, worth noting, clicking on any links to get to the forum still report that I've been banned, only when I click on home and go to sonciverseteam.net/index.php instead of /forum does the message clear.  This ultimately means that I'm not automatically redirected.

The new address is bbs.sonicverseteam.net, so change your bookmark. I need to fix the links to the forum, just haven't done it yet.

Hello and welcome to the site!

The Bumbleking site is simply messed up. I'm going to take it down to fix the links, so the comics will be once again accessible. :D

That would be awesome. I'm from DA and saw some fanart, the checked this site out and found it marvelous. So I want to read all that stuff and it just made me curious because sometime my computer can be annoying.

Thank you very much and I love sonicverse

I am sad to notice that it seems Other M has only the first chapter of the first act. Will the rest of it be made available for those to read and enjoy as it once had been? I'm very fond of that one, and miss it so. >:
