Lend a hand.
« on: August 01, 2010, 04:08:45 AM »

I thought this might be a useful thread, especially for when the site gets buzzing again.
Any problems or queries you have (such as my Metal Sonic downloading problem, which I fixed - no thanks to you lot!) with gaming, whether it be Sonic, your consoles, your PC, your other games on your console or PC, post em here.
And, don't be afraid of sounding dumb, your questions will be no worse than mine - trust me on this, sounding dumb is like an occupational hazard of being me.
Anyhow, anyone want to help me on my first question?
Sonic Allstars Racing - if you play with three people local multiplayer, do hazards turn off? Because that's what they're doing, even though we've triple-checked that hazards are on.
Help?

Whoops, clicked the wrong button and replied to the wrong thread.  It's been a long day.  Fixing the error.

In the one stage in Sonic Colors in Starlight Carnival I'm trying to get the last two red rings. I know you need to use the Purple Wisp to get them, but I keep getting stuck on the lower level and unable to reach the last two red rings on the higher level when using the Purple Frenzy. Does anyone know how to jump correctly to reach those last two red rings?

Hang on, I've been poking around, and I'm slightly confused about our hosting service.  We're currently hosted on theirregulars.net yes?  With several other sites yes?  Wouldn't the site be more efficient if we had our own host?  But then I seem to remember a fiasco with the sonicverseteam.com domain name when we had that long ago.

By more efficient I mean things like more bandwidth, better seeding of google, etc.

Full disclosure, The Irregulars.net hosts:

SegaSonic Station: segasonic.theirregulars.net - General Sonic site, which is supposed to be TI.net's hub.
SVT Comics: sonicverseteam.net - This site, lol.
Project EGG: egg.theirregulars.net -  This is a blanket site for fan game projects. Current project is Sonic the Hedgehog: Total Immersion.
Legion of CHAOS: legion.theirregulars.net -  Old Sonic RP project that's being retooled.

TI.net is mine and Solar's project. It's gonna be a package deal now. It's also really difficult to have one site hosted on one account and all other sites hosted on another. Our current host allows for build-as-you-go kind of hosting, so if we need more bandwidth or whatever, it can be purchased. Once the site gets going again, I still don't imagine issues. Unless of course our host screws us and we HAVE to move, which we'd give SOME kind of warning.

That makes more sense.  I was not aware that you owned ti.net, though I guess I should've been able to make the connection.  The thought that I was having is now invalid.

Yeah, this is why the forum is called The Irregulars/SVT Comics Unified Community now. ;)
